A condensed version of Anatomy’s 1,200 pages into a one-hour, form-bending play posing vital questions : Why are we so melancholy, and what are we supposed to do about it? What’s the point of living a life devoted to reading and writing? For that matter, what’s the point of living at all?

A new play by written and directed by Masha Makutonina as a part of Rattlestick’s Global Forums Theatre Festival. Steppe is a play about war’s devastating effects on the lands we try protect as we follow Dmytro and Daryna, two desperate Ukrainian refugees battle over who between them will granted parole in the US.

The Lower Depths

A play that depicts a group of impoverished Russians living in a shelter near the Volga.The theme of harsh truth versus the comforting lie pervades the play from start to finish, as most of the characters choose to deceive themselves over the bleak reality of their condition.
